Myrtle Beach’s Garden of Hope on Carver Street is receiving a make-over, thanks to a grant from Home Depot and other contributions.  The local Home Depot manager contacted the City of Myrtle Beach last year offering a $1,000 American Express grant for a construction project. Neighborhood Services suggested replacing the planting boxes at the Garden of Hope in the Booker T. Washington neighborhood.  Home Depot staff members, along with city staff, installed new wood frames around the garden beds. To make the full project possible, the city received a $1,500 donation from Jason Greene of Tuscan Properties and Bradley Development. The city is matching those contributions with $2,500. The Heyward Family provided the land for use as a community garden back in 2016.
