"Umbrellas only" season begins May 25 through Labor Day

It’s “umbrellas only” on the beach, beginning Monday, May 25, in the City of Myrtle Beach. Tents and canopies are not allowed again until the day after Labor Day, with the exception of infant tents that are smaller than three feet in any dimension. Umbrellas up to seven-and-a-half feet in diameter are allowed in line with, or behind, the established umbrella line. For more, see https://www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com/…/learn_about/tents_and_u…. (Note: Other Grand Strand jurisdictions besides the city have similar rules, although with different implementation dates.)
