Withers Swash drainage basin public meeting

Myrtle Beach hosts a public meeting to discuss stormwater solutions for the Withers Swash drainage basin at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 12, at the Myrtle Beach Train Depot. WK Dickson, the city’s consultant, has been working on stormwater quality and quantity issues in the area, which includes 2,500 acres. The goal is to improve existing flow paths and structures, manage the quantity and improve the water quality. The effort has identified 16 treatment projects for better water quality and 18 infrastructure projects for better stormwater quantity management. The public will have a chance to review the summary, make comments and ask questions.
