Myrtle Beach Police provide CCMF Traffic Pattern
Beginning 8:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, Ocean Boulevard will be closed between 8th and 9th Avenues North. The Myrtle Beach Police Department will implement the Carolina Country Music Fest Traffic plan, beginning 4:00 p.m., Thursday, June 6.
Traffic on Ocean Boulevard will be diverted up Seventh Avenue North westbound. Once traffic gets to Kings Highway, drivers must make a continuous right turn. Due to the lane taper, all traffic traveling on Kings Highway will be funneled into the inside lane. Traffic traveling on 7th Avenue North must turn right onto Kings Highway, using the outside lane. Traffic will continue this pattern to Mr. Joe White Avenue. Drivers will be allowed to proceed in any direction, once they’ve reached Mr. Joe White Avenue. The Myrtle Beach Police Department will implement this traffic plan for the remainder of the festival at 12:00 p.m., Friday, June 7 through Sunday, June 9.
During the daytime hours, until 3:00 p.m., traffic traveling North on Ocean Boulevard will be allowed to utilize 9th Avenue North to get to Kings Highway. Also at 3:00 p.m., traffic will be diverted at Mr. Joe White Avenue, westbound to Kings Highway. Ninth Avenue North, between Kings Highway and Oak Street, will be open to customers and employees of businesses along Ninth Avenue. However, the area is designated for Taxis and Ride Share Services.
