The City of Myrtle Beach’s Bicycle and Pedestrian Committee hosts the inaugural Horry County Bicycle and Pedestrian Summit from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, January 25, at the General Robert H. Reed Recreation Center, 800 Gabreski Lane. The purpose of the gathering is for individuals who represent municipalities and agencies in Horry County to come together to discuss bicycle and pedestrian safety. Representatives from the SCDOT and national organizations will also attend. The summit is intended to be an opportunity for planning, engineering and recreation professionals throughout the county to come together to discuss projects and connectivity. The event is an informal one, with the added bonus of forwarding attendees and participants to connect with fellow colleagues.
