Myrtle Beach to hold community prayer event Thursday
The public is invited to attend a community-wide assembly at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, as a prayer vigil and show of unity. The event follows the most recent mass shooting, when a gunman claimed 11 lives at a synagogue in Pittsburg. The assembly will be held at the Butterfly Memorial, pictured here, across from Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium at the Grand Park Athletic Complex. The memorial was dedicated in May 2016 as a remembrance for the 1.5 million children and millions of others who died in the Holocaust before and during World War II.
