Funeral arrangements force Solid Waste schedule change

The City of Myrtle Beach Solid Waste Department modified the residential household waste collection service Monday, October 1, to accommodate employees who want to attend Timothy “Tim” Taylor’s Funeral. Tim passed away after a traffic accident on his way to work, Tuesday, September 25.

Residential household trash and recycling in Zone 1 will be collected from 5:00 to 10:00 a.m., Monday, October 1 (Zone 1 is the area ...shaded in red). The crew anticipates completing the majority of the route. However, a plan is in place to service all customers. Monday’s remaining route will be collected, Tuesday, October 2, along with Tuesday’s normally scheduled collection route.

Customers who typically get serviced each Monday, are reminded to put your pelicans at the curb before 5:00 a.m., Monday, October 1. If you forget to put your pelican at the curb early Monday morning, leave it curbside and it will be serviced Tuesday, October 2.

Also, recycling collection will resume, Monday, October 1. We apologize for any inconvenience.
