Flashing beacons installed along Coventry Boulevard

MAY 23, 2023

Slow down, and watch for pedestrians and bicyclists! That’s the message from the City of Myrtle Beach, and new signs and flashing lights are in place on Coventry Boulevard to remind motorists that they must share the road. The flashing lights indicate a pedestrian crossing, as do the bright yellow signs. Please drive the speed limit (it’s 35 miles per hour on Coventry) and yield to pedestrians and cyclists. Reminder: Bicyclists must stop at all traffic signals and signs, too, just like a car. Bicycles cannot run through stop signs or stop lights!
