City of Myrtle Beach assesses damage following Tropical Storm Florence
As you contemplate returning to Myrtle Beach, remember that the governor has not lifted the evacuation order for Zones A, B and C. Fortunately, we received very little damage here from the storm, but it will be windy and rainy most of the day. When you get back to your homes, you may encounter power outages, food and fuel shortages, so you might want to stock up bvb on basic supplies before returning. Medical assistance could be delayed as Grand Strand Hospital is not open, yet. We appreciate your patience and compliance with Governor McMaster’s evacuation order and will advise immediately when it has been lifted. If traveling, be careful. Road conditions will not be the best.
