Overnight curfew implemented for City of Myrtle Beach, Thursday

Myrtle Beach City Manager, John Pedersen signed a proclamation implementing an overnight curfew effective 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13 to 7:00 a.m., Friday, September 14.

The proclamation reads in part, “I further order that a curfew be imposed within all areas of Myrtle Beach commencing at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2018 to be rescinded at 7:00 a.m., Friday, September 14, 2018, provided, however that this curfew  shall not apply to members of the public law enforcement bodies, firefighters performing emergencies duties, emergency medical personnel, medical doctors and nurses going to or from work, emergency recovery crews, or to those seeking to evacuate the city per the order  of the Governor of the State of South Carolina, and credentialed members of the media.”
