Shawnte is an equipment operator with our Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Department. If you've seen him around town, there's no doubt he was smiling! Shawnte was nominated by his co-workers for his happy demeanor, strong work ethic and the ability to make others smile around him. Shawnte's first nomination reads:

Shawnte was nominated by his co-workers for his happy demeanor, strong work ethic and the ability to make others smile around him. Shawnte's first nomination reads:"Shawnte Perry always comes to work with a big smile and ready to work. He has a "can do" attitude, and helps other team members throughout our division whenever asked. Shawnte always heads to the parking lot at the end of the day the same way he came to work...smiling and making jokes. He is always fun to be around."
Another nomination for Shawnte reads:
"I don't even work with Shawnte, but every time I see him waving at me as I drive by, or walking by as he's working with his crew, he makes ME have a better day. He's the type of person that (whether it's just a short conversation as we pass each other or a wave) makes me happier by seeing him at work, too. I'm happy to say that someone like Shawnte is also on the City of Myrtle Beach team."
