Overnight curfew implemented for the City of Myrtle Beach

Given the pending threat from Hurricane Florence and the need to protect both our residents and our properties, Myrtle Beach City Manager John Pederson has ordered an overnight curfew from 10:00 p.m.,Wednesday, September 12 to 6:00 a.m., Thursday, September 13.

However, the proclamation says the curfew does not apply to law enforcement, firefighters, doctors, nurses or medical personnel going to and from work or responding to emergencies.  The curfew also does not apply to those who are in the process of evacuating.
