AUGUST 2, 2022

With all the wet weather recently, you can do your part to help control the mosquito population! Check out this list of tips for eliminating standing water around your property. Also the City of Myrtle Beach sprays for mosquitoes during the summer months, covering the city from north to south on the following schedule…

Mosquito Spraying (generally from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., weather permitting)

Monday: 62nd Avenue North to Northern City Limits
Tuesday: 21st Avenue North to 62nd Avenue North
Wednesday: 3rd Avenue South/501 to 21st Avenue North
Thursday: 17th Avenue South to 3rd Avenue South (includes Hwy. 15 corridor)
Friday: 17th Avenue South to Southern City Limits

We do not spray if it’s especially windy or rainy. By the way, we also have a program to protect bees! If you’re a beekeeper, call 843-918-2000 to register your hives’ locations.
