Myrtle Beach Military Appreciation Days events resume this weekend

This weekend Myrtle Beach honors our military veterans' service and sacrifice, past and present, through a series of events ahead of and on Memorial Day, Monday, May 30.  We hope you and your family are able to join us to support our veterans and those who have died for our freedoms.

- Military Appreciation Days Parade – 10:30 a.m., Saturday, May 28
     Begins at the corner of Howard Avenue and Pampas Drive, travels along Farrow Parkway, ending at Farrow Parkway and Forbus Court in The Market Common

- Military Appreciation Days Picnic and Exhibits – 11:30 a.m., Saturday, May 28, Valor Memorial Garden, 1120 Farrow Parkway

- Jack Platt Veterans’ March and Battlefield Cross Ceremony on Memorial Day – 9:00 a.m., Monday, May 30
     Meet at 16th Avenue North and march to Ninth Avenue North for the Battlefield Cross Ceremony. (NEW THIS YEAR: Everyone is welcome to walk in support of our military, veterans and loved ones who served)

- Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony – 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 30, Myrtle Beach Convention Center, 2101 North Oak Street 

- 2022 Memorial Day Tribute Film – “Soldier Stories: Valor in Vietnam” Film, 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 30, Grand 14 Cinemas at The Market Common, 4002 DeVille Street (Free Admission)
