Renderings released of Myrtle Beach "City Square" plans

Here’s a rendering of how Myrtle Beach’s “City Square” might look in the new Arts & Innovation District. The Downtown Development Office (DDO) presented this concept to City Council during Thursday’s monthly workshop. DDO staff and consultants held “listening sessions” with people and groups about their ideas and needs for such a public space. This view is looking west. Note the existing Train Depot in the upper right area. In addition to improvements underway on Ninth Avenue North and the proposed Performing Arts Center on Main Street, Myrtle Beach’s Downtown Master Plan includes a new library and art museum, along with private sector investments.
