The City of Myrtle Beach welcomes a new Assistant City Manager

The City of Myrtle Beach welcomes new Assistant City Manager Brian Tucker to our “first in service” staff. Tucker brings extensive management experience to the city. He earned a Financial Management Degree from Clemson University. From 1999 to 2008, he worked in real estate and finance roles. He previously led the North Augusta Chamber of Commerce and, in 2012, accepted the top position with the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. Most recently, he served as Georgetown County’s director of economic development from 2014 until he accepted our Myrtle Beach position. Tucker is committed to improving the community and creating a more diverse and sustainable local economy. “I am excited to focus my attention on the City of Myrtle Beach. The city has made significant progress, and I’m eager to help make more improvements moving forward,” Tucker said. He and his wife, Margaret, have two children, Margaret Ann and Lily.
