The City of Myrtle Beach issued more than 7500 building permits last fiscal year
Did you know... That the City of Myrtle Beach issued 7,544 building permits (all kinds) with a total construction value of $391,258,508 during the fiscal year which ended June 30, 2021? That’s an increase of 707 permits and $38.8 million in value over the previous fiscal year. The FY 2020-21 numbers feature $188,816,267 worth of residential construction and $175,621,174 worth of commercial construction inside the city limits. Included in the permit totals are 635 new single-family residences, 83 new commercial buildings, 110 swimming pools, 428 fences, 193 commercial signs, 26 demolitions and 11 mobile homes.
