A Myrtle Beach park will receive new educational signs, thanks to a $9,695 Hometown Community Grant from T-Mobile.  City officials gathered with residents and T-Mobile representatives at Bathsheba Bowens Memorial Park for the check presentation.  The money will replace 24 educational signs throughout the park that explain indigenous trees and other historic and cultural points of the neighborhood.  The park is named in memory of Bathsheba Bowens, a young Myrtle Beach resident who died suddenly at age 16.  Her sisters, family and friends were on hand for the presentation.  The new signs will be installed at a later date.  The land is owned by Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church, but maintained by the city.
