The “new look” for the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is getting good reviews from those who’ve seen it in person.  The City of Myrtle Beach is re-decking the boardwalk this summer with a more durable – and more colorful – surface.  The $3.7 million project features a wood-look composite material to replace the original southern yellow pine.  Work wraps up soon, as the contractor is nearing Eighth Avenue North, where the promenade begins.  Check out the two new selfie stations which were added this week.  They give families a place to take beach-themed pictures on the boardwalk, with the ocean in the background.  Two more selfie stations will be added in coming weeks.  New rails and stiles were added in places, too, along with inlaid nautical flags.  Go check out the new Myrtle Beach boardwalk for yourself!
