Tropical Storm Alberto could not stop the Veterans March on Ocean Boulevard this Memorial Day. A little rainy weather failed to dampen the patriotism of our Myrtle Beach area veterans community. World War II veteran Jack Platt led the march on foot. He called for the march four years ago, and local veterans responded. The annual event is coordinated by the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association (CVMA) and the Military Appreciation Committee.
