The Warren S. Gall Police Annex on Mustang Street at The Market Common is named for long-time Myrtle Beach Police Chief Warren Gall.  The retired chief joined the Police Department in March 1980 after serving the US Air Force.  In fact, Gall’s first assignment at the Myrtle Beach Air Force Base was in one of the buildings which now bears his name.  Gall rose through the ranks at the department, becoming police chief on April 2, 1997.  In all, he served the City of Myrtle Beach for 37 years, including 20 as police chief.  The recently renovated and expanded law enforcement annex includes a new second floor, more classrooms and offices and an indoor firing range.
