Photos of the Week
More than 6,000 eighth graders visited the Myrtle Beach Convention Center this week for the “Pathways2Possibilities” career expo. Several city departments participated, providing a glimpse into future employment opportunities for the students through hands-on experience. The City of Myrtle Beach was well-represented with staff from the Police, Fire, Public Works, Human Resources, Information Technology and Chapin Memorial Library. The career expo welcomed eighth graders from 10 counties – Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Georgetown, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro and Williamsburg – during the two-day event. In all, 19 different professions took part in the expo.
