The City Manager's Office includes the City Clerk. Jonathan "Fox" Simons and Lisa Wallace are the Assistant City Managers. The City of Myrtle Beach has approximately 900 full-time employees.
The City Clerk is ex-officio clerk of the City Council. The clerk gives notice of meetings, posts the agenda, attends regular and special meetings, records votes of Council, keeps minutes of Council meetings and performs such other duties as may be assigned by the city manager.
