Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium provides a full-service workout center, including a large weight room and a cardio room. This facility also offers a full-size hardwood basketball court and racquetball courts. Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium offers a variety of group fitness classes, youth and teen programs, as well as pickleball, raquetball, and volleyball. Please see below for more information.
Monday through Thursday: 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

GROUP FITNESS CLASSES
Classes are available for $4 per class for City Residents and $10 per class for Non-City Residents. Participants also have the option of purchasing a punch card. The card allows attendence to 24 classes and costs $28 for City Residents and $50 for Non-City Residents.
Active Aging Fitness Class: Designed for our senior population, this class combines strength and balance, along with some cardio elements. Active Aging Classes are 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
AM Body Blast: A total body exercise program meant to build strength and endurance, this class is for all ages and fitness levels. AM Body Blast Classes are 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Basic Yoga Level 1.5: This Hatha Yoga class places an emphasis on coordinating breath with movement for stretching, strength building and mindful awareness. Prior yoga experience is not necessary. Basic Yoga Level 1.5 Classes are 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Beginners Yoga: This full body fitness program takes place in a very casual setting. Participants progress slowly through a series of yoga poses to develop strength, flexibility and balance. This class is intended for everyone. Please bring your own mat and towel. We recommend bringing water as well. Beginners Yoga Classes are 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Boot Camp: Designed to maximize calorie burning in a short amount of time, the camp is a combination of strength, cardio, muscle endurance, flexibility, core and functional movement patterns. The goal is to promote health, challenge your mind and body and make fitness fun! Boot Camp is from 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. on Mondays, and 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. on Thursdays.
Chair Yoga: This class is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced while seated, or while standing, and using the chair for support. The poses are adaptations of Hatha Yoga poses. Chair Yoga is offered from 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Cycling: Challenge your endurance, strength, and speed. Experience a ride full of hills, sprints, and endurance intervals while listening to energetic music. Cycling Classes are from 5:30 to 6:15 p.m., on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays. Additional classes are available on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 7:00 to 7:45 a.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m.
Express Cardio: This class focuses on building strength to help with weight loss over time. Express Cardio Classes are 8:00 to 8:30 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Full Body Workout Fitness: This class utilizes all of the major muscle groups, with emphasis on stretching for both flexibility and balance. The class uses a variety of equipment, including weights, BOSU balls, resistance bands and more. The class also promotes camaraderie and social support. Full Body Workout Fitness is 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
House Party Fitness: A growing and nationally-accredited cardio hip hop program, the class uses the hottest music along with current moves that translate on the dance floor. This is a fun and unique dance fitness class. House Party Fitness is 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursdays.
Muscle Pump: A great full body workout utilizing dumbbells, resistance bands and body weight to define and sculpt the muscles. Muscle Pump is 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. and 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional classes are available from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
On The Ball: The class uses an exercise ball to help maintain correct posture to target all muscle groups. On The Ball Classes are 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Mondays.
Strong By Zumba: Class combines body weight, muscle conditioning, cardio and plyometric training synced to original music that matches every move. This is NOT a zumba class. Please bring your own mat and towel. Strong By Zumba Classes are 5:30 to 6:15 p.m. on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Super Crunch: An intense core workout class with upbeat music. This class is designed to strengthen the core and sculpt the body. Super Crunch is 4:15 to 5:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tai Chi: Class combines slow, deliberate movements, meditation and breathing exercises. The routines in this class are not designed to burn calories or raise the heart rate. Tai Chi is 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Mondays.
Yin "Knees to Navel" Yoga: This is a practice designed to strengthen ligaments and tendons of the knees and hips. Most postures for this class will be done on the floor and will focus on the knees and hips; each posture will be eased into and held for 3-5 minutes. Each class will include a warm up, a series of sustained postured, and will conclude with a relaxation savasana. Each participant should bring yoga mat, a towel, and a pillow or bolster. If you have had a knee or hip injury, please check with your physician to see if this is an appropriate practice for you. This class is available on Fridays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Zumba: Classes use Latin and World music to help participants dance their way to a more fit body. This class is great for building a strong core. The class is for everyone, and dance experience is not needed. Zumba is 10:15 to 11:00 a.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 6:15 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional classes are available from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. on Saturdays.
The following programs are available at Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium for adults. Please see the descriptions for days and times. Participation in these sports is free for members, $3 for seniors (55+) and $5 for ages 18-54.
Badminton: Badminton is offered on Thursday's from 1:00pm to 3:00pm and on Saturday's from 10:00am to 12:00pm.
Basketball: Open play hours are available. This activity is for all ages. Open play basketball hours are 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional play hours are from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
Handball: Open play is available on our raquetball courts. You must provide your own equipment. Call 843-918-2355 for court reservations.
Pickleball: The fastest growing sport in the USA, this game combines tennis and badminton for a game that is high on fun and fitness. Pickleball is 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Raquetball: Courts at Crabtree are available by reservation. Please call 843-918-2355 for more information. Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium also offers seasonal raquetball leagues. Eyewear and raquets can be rented for $1 each, or you can bring your own.
Volleyball: Geared towards seniors (but any adult can play), volleyball takes place from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
Wallyball: This activity is played on our raquetball courts. Availability is limited, so call 843-918-2355 for reservations.
Open Gym: A time in which the gym is open for your choice of activity, including basketball, badminton, volleyball, sprints, etc., on a first come, first served basis. Open Gym is available 7:00 to 8:30 a.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. Additional Open Gym time is available from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Tuesdays.
YOUTH & TEEN PROGRAMS
The following youth and teen programs are available at Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium. Please see the descriptions for days, times, and pricing.
Crabtree Youth Martial Art Program: Class is for young people, ages seven to 15 years old. This class promotes fitness and discipline, all while improving focus and self-confidence. Instructor Marilyn Del Gaizo is a fourth degree black belt in Taekwondo and has 25+ years experience instructing youth and adults. Classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. The fee is $15 for 8 classes for City Residents and $25 for 8 classes for Non-City Residents. Participants receive a free t-shirt with registration!
Junior Raquetball Clinic: Clinic is available for young people, ages seven to 14 years old. The clinic takes place on Wednesdays, 6:00 to 7:15 p.m., beginning May 16. The cost is $10 for City Residents and $20 for Non-City Residents. All equipment is provided. Please see this flyer for more information. Or, call 843-918-2355.
Skills and Drills Basketball: Clinic is available for ages 8-14. It will be on Monday and Wednesday from September 17 - October 10, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. This is for both males and females. $15 for city residents, and $25 for non-city residents.
