Mary C. Canty Recreation Center offers recreational opportunities for all ages, with a gymnasium, weight room, swimming pool, game rooms, playgrounds and a banquet hall with kitchen and ice machine. Youth sports, after-school youth programs, and special events also are available. Choose from annual, monthly or daily membership options.

Back to the Basics: Here Is Your Opportunity to Improve your Fundamentals for The Game of Football. This Clinic Will Take Place Every Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.The focus will be the Fundamentals for all positions. Ages 7-17.

It’s that time! Time for some football. The Randall Youth Football Camp is a FREE One Day Football Camp for all Youth Ages 7 – 15, Male & Female. The Camp will consist of a variety of position drills, guest speakers, Motivators and A Free cook out for participants at the conclusion of the Camp. All participants must pre-register for this football camp. Please Wear football cleats or Sneakers, shorts and T-Shirts for this camp. Please drink a lot of water the day before & get to bed early! “We will see you on the turf!”

All Sports Training Regimen: This sports training program is designed for athletes, ages 11 to 17. The training is intense, consisting of a variety of strength and conditioning exercises. The program also incorporates agility drills, flexibility stations, individual sports fundamentals and mental and physical toughness. The program is conducted by a National Exercise Trainers Associate certified trainer. The program takes place every Tuesday and Thursday, March 6 through May 8, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at the Mary C. A.M. (Always Motivated) Fitness Program: The “A.M. Fitness” program is a low impact fitness program designed for individuals with disabilities and special needs. The A.M. Fitness program gives all participants the opportunity to experience a total body workout and take part in a positive group activity. The program takes place on Tuesday and Thursday, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Fees are $10 for City Residents and $20 for Non-City Residents. Circuits in the City: This high-intensity circuit training class makes you sweat and pushes you to new limits! Classes consist of weights, plyometrics, cardio and resistance training. Classes meet 1:00 to 1:45 p.m., every Tuesday and Thursday, at Mary C. Canty Recreation Center. Drop-In Fees are $4 for City Residents and $10 for Non-City Residents. Punch Cards are also available! Coastal Communities Unite: Don’t miss this community program designed to provide fun, safe and quality activities for children, ages five through 12. Participants will have the opportunity to play kickball, flag football, dodgeball, soccer and other activities. Senior Fit Club: Join a community of seniors and older adults for a total-body workout appropriate for any fitness level. Senior Fit Club classes are designed to increase flexibility, joint stability, balance, coordination, agility, muscular strength, and cardiovascular endurance. The workout combines aerobic, flexibility and resistance (strength) training with plenty of friendly fun. Arena Football League: This summer flag football league program gives youth, ages six to 12, the opportunity to enhance their football skills and develop the necessary fundamentals for the game of tackle football. Registration for Arena Football at Mary C. Canty Recreation Center begins Tuesday, May 1. Mini Camps are set for 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, June 11-14. Games take place from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays. The league begins Monday, June 25. The fee is $10 for City Residents and $20 for Non-City Residents. Summer Youth Basketball League: This league focuses on the fundamentals of basketball. The program highlights positive sportsmanship, leadership, discipline, and teamwork. Registration begins Tuesday, May 1, and continues through Friday, June 15. Training Camp is set for 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday, June 18-24. Summer Teen Basketball League: This program helps youth, ages 13 to 17, learn the fundamentals of basketball. It teaches the importance of sportsmanship, leadership, discipline, and teamwork within the game. Registration begins Tuesday, May 1, and continues through Friday, June 15. Training camp is 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, June 18-21. The season begins Tuesday, June 26. Games take place from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursdays. Teen Coaching 101 (ages 13-18): Calling all teenagers, ages 13-18, who have an interest in coaching! This program aims to get teenagers involved by serving as youth coaches for basketball and flag football. Participants receive training about coaching, conducting drills, creating practice plans and developing positive leadership. As youth coaches, they receive work and leadership experience, a monthly dinner, coach’s room with refreshments and a special bonus at the season's end. Registration is May 1-June 1. The coaching program is 12:00 to 2:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday beginning June 4. Game schedules will be determined at a later time.
