The City of Myrtle Beach offers a number of organized youth sports.  Activities include baseball, softball, football, basketball and more.  Youth sports fees are $15 per child for city residents and $75 per child for non-city residents.

YOUTH SPORTS SEASONS

Spring and Fall Baseball and Softball leagues are offered at the Grand Park complex and Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  Registration begins Saturday, February 4, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center and Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium.  All coaches are encouraged to attend city-sponsored coaches' clinics, and all leagues ages nine-and-up operate under Little League rules.  The registration fee includes either a Minor League replica t-shirt or a Major League replica jersey, depending on age group.  See the links at left for the registration forms.

Basketball is offered at both Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium and Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  All coaches are encouraged to attend city-sponsored coaches' clinics.  Basketball practice starts in December, with games in January and February.  Registration includes a t-shirt or a reversible NBA replica jersey, depending on age group.

Cheerleading is offered a Pepper Geddings Recreation Center during youth football season.  Teams cheer for their football counterparts.  The city provides a team cheerleading skirt.  Here are the cheerleading age groups.

Youth Football is offered at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  All coaches are encouraged to attend city-sponsored coaches' clinics.  Practice starts in August, with games beginning in September.  The city provides a jersey, helmet, shoulder pads, football pants and pads.
