The City of Myrtle Beach offers a number of organized youth sports.  Activities include baseball, softball, football, basketball and more.  Youth sports fees are $15 per child for city residents and $75 per child for non-city residents.

Boys and Girls, Ages 4 to 16

Registration 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, February 2

Pepper Geddings Recreation Center and Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium

Registration begins Saturday, February 2, from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., for youth baseball and softball leagues.  Sign up your young star at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center or Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium.  Call 918-2295 or 918-2360 for more information.  The youth sports fee is $15 for city residents and $75 for non-city residents.

Registration begins Saturday, February 2, for a Summer Youth Basketball League for boys and girls, ages nine to 14.  Parents can register children at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.   Spaces are limited, so sign up early!  Fees:  $15/City Resident and $25/Non-City Resident.  For more information, call 918-2280 or 918-2363.

Registration for Youth Lacrosse, age seven to 15, is underway at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  Practices and games will occur on fields at Crabtree Memorial Gym and Pepper Geddings Recreation Center, with some travel games.  The youth sports fee is $15 for city residents and $75 for non-city residents.  Call 918-2280 for more information.  Here are the lacrosse age groups.

Youth Cheerleading and Youth Football (Ages 7 to 12)

Pepper Geddings Recreation Center

Cheerleading is offered a Pepper Geddings Recreation Center during youth football season.  Teams cheer for their football counterparts.  The city provides a team cheerleading skirt.  Here are the cheerleading age groups.

• 4-6 Mascot

• 7-12 Cheerleading

Youth Football is offered at Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  All coaches are encouraged to attend city-sponsored coaches' clinics.  Practice starts in August, with games beginning in September.  The city provides a jersey, helmet, shoulder pads, football pants and pads. 

• 7-8 Tackle

• 9-10 Boys

• 11-12 Boys

Youth Basketball (Ages 6 to 14)

Registration begins 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, November 2, 2013

Pepper Geddings Recreation Center and Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium

Basketball is offered at both Crabtree Memorial Gymnasium and Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  All coaches are encouraged to attend city-sponsored coaches' clinics.  Basketball practice starts in December, with games in January and February.  Registration includes a t-shirt or a reversible NBA replica jersey, depending on age group.
