TENNIS, ANYONE?


The Tennis Center is a partnership between the City of Myrtle Beach and the Horry County School District. Lessons, league play, clinics and activities are available.

Corner Icon The Myrtle Beach Tennis Center is open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Monday Through Friday, most of the year (see winter hours below).  The Pro Shop is closed weekdays from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.  The center also is open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday.  The Pro Shop is closed from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.  The center is closed Sunday.

Winter hours are in effect from December 1 through February 28...

9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday (Pro Shop closed 1:00 to 2:30 p.m.)

9:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Saturday.  (Pro Shop closed 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.)

Closed Sunday.


Blue Box  Tennis court rental is just $2 per person, per hour, with annual memberships available.  Water is available on the courts, and restrooms are located in the Pro Shop.  Call 843-918-2440.

The Myrtle Beach Tennis Center is adjacent to Myrtle Beach High School and is accessible off Grissom Parkway.  It features a pro shop and 10 courts, eight of which are lighted for night play.  Call the Pro Shop at 843-918-2440.

 

40 LUV Junior Summer Camps: The City of Myrtle Beach 40 LUV /summer Tennis Camp provides an excellent opportunity to accelerate the interest and growth of tennis for children ages five to twelve years old. The curriculum follows the USTA’s guidelines for 10 and under format and the 40 LUV JDP. Time of the camp is 9:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and fees are $73 per student, with discounts for multiple children participating in two or more weeks. 40 LUV JDP: Myrtle Beach’s FIRST Junior Development Pathway will be kicking off the Spring II session on April 29 and the Summer I session on June 10. This pathway ensures that your child will have success in tennis to enjoy recreationally or competitively. This pathway follows the 10 and under USTA guidelines with players older than 10 using yellow balls. Classes are offered 3:00 – 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Adult Socials:  Come out and enjoy a great evening of doubles play.  This social event is focused on friendly competition where everyone will have the opportunity to meet new people while enjoying the game of tennis.  Adult Socials run every Friday night 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.  Fees are $5.

 

Quick Tennis:  This exciting program offered to adult beginners who are looking to learn the game of tennis in a short amount of time. The program runs for three weeks where players come twice a week for one hour sessions. Classes are offered from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday or Wednesday.
