It is the
mission of the Myrtle Beach Police Department to enhance the quality of
life in the community through a commitment to excellence in the
professional and courteous delivery of police services while operating
under the framework of the
U.S. Constitution in enforcing laws, reducing fear and preserving
human life. Our values require that our employees be guided by the principle that every individual has infinite dignity and worth and that we must show respect for the citizens we serve and for the men and women of the Department. For these reasons, the Office of Professional Standards was created. If you have certain issues regarding an officer's conduct or want to commend an officer for a job well done and request additional information on what you can do, go to our Citizen Complaint/Commendation Procedures page. Also known as Internal Affairs, the Office of Professional Standards is managed by the Administrative Division Captain, Faith Gildea. Under her command is an Administrative Lieutenant, John Kennedy and an Administrative Sergeant, Eric DiLorenzo. © Copyright 2004, The City of Myrtle Beach. All rights reserved. |
