The Myrtle Beach Train Depot, built in 1937, is a popular site for meetings, dinners, receptions and events, thanks to its airy spaces and historic charm. The City of Myrtle Beach purchased the depot and restored it, rescuing it from certain destruction. Now, the brick-and-wood train station is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Train Depot is available for rent at reasonable rates. The fee is $15 an hour for city residents or $25 an hour for non-residents and includes use of tables and chairs. Cleaning is extra, as is a staff charge for after-hours events. For reservation information, call 918-2390.
