Applications now available for Fire Department's new Citizens Fire Academy

Applications are now available for the Myrtle Beach Fire Department’s inaugural Citizens Fire Academy, a program that allows participants an in-depth, behind the scenes look at the City of Myrtle Beach's outstanding fire and rescue team.  The 10-week program is set for 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, beginning February 27.  The application submission period opens January 10 and applications are due by Friday, February 1.

Applications will be processed in the order received.  Applicants must be 18 years of age, or older, and must be city residents or Horry County residents.  Applicants undergo a criminal history background check and must provide a copy of photographic identification.  Interested parties can mail, email or deliver the completed application in-person.  Mail or hand-deliver completed applications to Myrtle Beach Fire Department Administration, ATTN:  Public Education, 921-B North Oak Street, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.  Interested parties can also email completed applications to Lt. Evans at jwevans@cityofmyrtlebeach.com
