Christmas tree recycling begins in January

Beginning in January, the City of Myrtle Beach will pick up Christmas trees at curbside to take them to be recycled...

In late February, the trees will be ground, and the resulting mulch will be available to the public for free! The annual effort helps give trees a second life.  Place trees at the curb, but not in the travel lane, and don’t cover any utility meters or boxes. Also, please remove all decorations and tree stands!  If you don’t want to wait for curbside pickup, you may take your tree to the drop-off point on Mr. Joe White Avenue at 21st Avenue North Extension (behind Myrtle Waves Water Park).
