Applications are now available for popular My Beach 101 program

Applications are now being accepted for Neighborhood Services Department’s My Beach 101 Citizens Academy!  The eight-session program gives participants a unique experience and a chance to learn about the City of Myrtle Beach’s daily operations.  Each session includes appearances by department directors, city staff and elected officials.  Sessions also include the history of Myrtle Beach and how each of the departments within the city operates, including Fire, Financial Services, Police and Public Works!  Classes take place on Thursday evenings, 5:30 to 8:00 p.m., at the Historic Myrtle Beach Colored School Museum, 900 Dunbar Street.  Space is limited to 25 participants and classes begin Thursday, January 24, 2019.  The deadline to apply is December 31, 2018.  Visit www.cityofmyrtlebeach.com/i_want_to/apply_for/mybeach101.php for more information and to download the application.  Questions?  Contact the Neighborhood Services Department at 843-918-1062.
