Governor Henry McMaster lifts evacuation order for Zones A, B and C in Horry and Georgetown Counties

Governor Henry McMaster says the evacuation order for Horry County ends 9:00 a.m., Sunday, September 16.  Remember to pay attention to the road as you travel. Some areas in neighboring cities could be experiencing flooding in the their area.

Fortunately, Myrtle Beach had no significant damage from Hurricane Florence.  Our hearts go out to everyone in North Carolina who received the full force of this storm, as well as everyone in Conway and other areas where flooding will occur in coming days.

Before you leave to come back to Myrtle Beach, stock up on food, fuel and supplies.  Our county is expecting heavy downstream flooding from North Carolina rivers.  That flooding could cause some road closures, which may prevent distribution companies from easily getting to our area to deliver goods and services.
