"Full Moon," from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, at Chapin Park

The local performing arts community and the City of Myrtle Beach partner to host another "Full Moon Party," from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, July 27, at Chapin Park, 1400 North Kings Highway.

Traditionally, this month's theme is the “Buck Moon.” During July, the buck’s antlers are in full growth mode. The new antlers of the... buck deer push out of their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur. July’s full moon also features the largest lunar eclipse of the century also known as the “Blood Moon,” for its rich red color created by the eclipse.

Come out and enjoy incredible acrobatic performances, a live DJ, contests for all ages, and exciting free-family fun! For more information about the Full Moon Party, contact Chris Wiggins at 843-918-2338 or email chriswiggins@cityofmyrtlebeach.com.
