A collection of model airplanes owned by the late Edward Fanjoy (Ed's Hobby Shop) now decorates the ceiling of the newly-renovated building at Thunderbolt Park, along Farrow Parkway. City staff members carefully suspended the planes to provide an Air Force atmosphere for the building, which once was part of the Myrtle Beach base.  Thunderbolt Park features lakes and trails on both sides of the entrance to the International Technology and Aerospace Park. The renovated building at the western end offers restroom facilities, an outdoor classroom and other amenities. More multipurpose paths are planned for the park.
