Men's Championship... September 30-October 2, 2011 Women's Championship... October 14-16, 2011 The dates are set for the 2011 Mayor's Cup Men's and Women's Amateur Championship Tournaments. The Sixth Annual Men's Championship will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, September 30 through October 2, 2011. The Sixth Annual Women's Championship will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 14-16, 2011. The Mayor’s Cup Amateur Championship Tournament is a 54-hole stroke play event, one for men and one for women, at Whispering Pines Golf Course. After the first two days, the final day is flighted according to score, with best individual scores determining the winners. Here are the registration forms for each of the championship tournaments. City residency is not required. The men’s tournament is open to all male golfers, 18 and up, and is limited to the first 136 paid entries. The women’s tournament is open to all female golfers, 18 and up, and is limited to the first 136 paid entries. Registration is just $190 and includes tournament course fees, range balls, lunch each day and a contestant's package. Trophies and prizes will be awarded. Entry forms also are available at Whispering Pines Golf Course or by calling 843-918-2305. The Mayor's Cup began in 2006. |
