The Finance Department administers the citys financial operations. The department is divided into several groups, including Accounting and Financial Reporting, Purchasing and Inventory Management, Commercial Licenses and Fees, Information Services and Utility Billing and Collections. To reach the Finance Department, call 843-918-1152. The city offers a number of on-line services and forms for businesses and residents. For example, customers may pay their utility bills on line, make a request for service or report a problem, and even pay a parking meter violation via the Internet. You also may call 843-918-1212 to pay utility bills with either Visa or MasterCard or to arrange to have your payment drafted directly from your checking account. The city's most recent Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is available for the year which ended June 30, 2011. The CAFR is provided as a PDF file, which is rather large. Depending on the speed of your Internet connection, it may take a while for this file to open. Here are previous fiscal years' CAFRs. Note: Acrobat Reader, available free, is needed for PDF files. |
