TRAFFIC SIGNAL SUPERVISOR – Public Works Dept./Traffic Engineering Division.   Supervise, direct and evaluate assigned staff and performs technical work in the installation, maintenance and repair of traffic signals, fabricates and installs signs, installs road markings. Requires high school education or equivalent supplemented by vocational/technical training in electrical, (5) years’ experience in electrical work, traffic signal repair or related field, IMSA Level II certification,  be at least 18 years old and possess a Class D Driver’s License to operate a bucket truck. Salary Range:  $42,929 - $66,971/year, plus benefits.  Application deadline:  5:00 p.m., April 27, 2015.

ASSISTANT TENNIS PROFESSIONAL – Recreation Services Dept./Myrtle Beach Tennis Center. Temporary-Part/Time Position. Seeking a highly energetic, responsible tennis professional with experience in all areas of tennis.  Junior development will be the focus of this position. A focus A NTRP of 4.0 or higher is necessary. Requires high school or equivalent, be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver license and PTR/USPTA is required within 6 months of date hired. Rate: $12.67/Hour.  No Benefits. Position open until filled.

RECREATION  ASSISTANT – Recreation Services Dept./Pepper Geddings Recreation Center.  Temporary-Part/Time Positions.  Looking for high energy, assertive camp counselors able to coach and teach a variety of sports, drills and games during summer camps for kids.  Must love kids.  Duties include, but are not limited to, monitoring or leading drills; teaching clinics; planning, programming and implementing sports activities.  Prefer CPR Certified.  Requires knowledge of a variety of public recreational activities, ability to safely and effectively instruct young people throughout daily weekday camp experiences through the summer, high school or equivalent, be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver license.  Rate: $10.10/Hour. CIVIL ENGINEERPublic Works Department/Engineering Division.  Designs plans and specifications, previews development plans, calculates fees and inspects projects, maintaining records, prepare reports.  Requires knowledge of water distribution, sewage collection, storm water management, streets, roadways heavy construction, site development, surveying, construction project management and inspection and working knowledge of computers and engineering applications.  Requires any combination or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major course work in Civil Engineering or closely related field; Engineer in Training-(E.I.T.) preferred, be at least 18 years old and valid driver’s license.  Salary Range: $48,183 - $75,167/year, plus benefits.  Application deadline:  5:00 p.m., April 20, 2015.

OFFICE ASSISTANT, SR Finance Department/Purchasing Division. Performs skilled work in a variety of clerical tasks related to purchasing such as entering purchase orders, bid tabulation, update purchasing website, assist in monitoring the budget, and administrative support to Buyers with other related work as required.  Must have the ability to operate standard office, data entry and word processing equipment; ability to type and knowledge of Microsoft Windows.  Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in basic computer and business, be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license. Salary Range: $29,419 - $45,894/ year, plus benefits.  Application deadline:  5:00 p.m., April 20, 2015.

CHILDREN'S ROOM AIDE Chapin Memorial Library. Temporary-Part/Time Position. Performs entry level work in the children's room during the summer reading program.  Work twelve (12) weeks between May and August, flexible hours. Must have ability to follow established procedures and perform work requiring detail.  Must have good oral communication skills and the ability to relate to and work with people of all ages.  Some knowledge of library routine and procedure preferred, be at least 18 years old, HS Diploma or equivalent and valid driver’s license. Rate: $12.29/hour. No benefits.  Application deadline:  5:00 p.m., April 20, 2015.

RECREATION ASSISTANT Cultural & Leisure Services Dept./Crabtree Gym. Temporary/Part-Time. Duties include but are not limited to teaching Zumba, teaching group cycling, teaching aerobic and fitness classes, working a busy front desk, monitoring the gym, and assisting w/weight training. Prefer CPR Certified. Requires knowledge of computers & a variety of public recreational activities; High School or equivalent; be at least 18 years old, valid driver’s license & be able to work mornings or nights & weekends. Rate: $10.10/Hour No Benefits. Position open until filled.

TRADES WORKER Convention Center. Temporary-Part/Time.  Performs electrical, painting, plumbing and carpentry duties for trade shows and conventions. Requires high school diploma or equivalent, strong electrical experience is preferred, be able to perform manual labor for extended periods of time, no set hours and weekends, be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver license.  Rate: $12.61/hour. No Benefits.  Position open until filled. 

SWIM INSTRUCTOR Cultural & Leisure Services Department / Aquatics Division.  Temporary/Part-Time. Looking for a high energy, safety conscious person with knowledge of competitive swimming.  Duties include, but are not limited to; Swim Coach-instructing and supervising practices, creating daily workouts, and making/answering phone calls.  Responsible for teaching swimming skills to all ages. Requires water safety instructor certification; be at least 17 years old, and must be available to work a variety of hours including weekends. Rate:  $11.14/hour. No Benefits. Position open until filled. 

LIFEGUARDCultural and Leisure Services Department/Aquatics Division.  Temporary/Part-Time. Pepper Geddings Recreation Center/Canal Street Recreation Center.  Requires current lifeguard certification, be at least 16 years old, valid driver’s license and available to work a variety of hours including evenings and weekends. Rate:  $10.10/hour. No Benefits. Position open until filled.
