COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER – Police Department. Performs responsible and specialized work in the operation of dispatching police, fire and EMS personnel and equipment to fire, crime and/or accident scenes, operate 911 and CAD for all emergency calls, does related clerical duties as required.  Must have general knowledge of the City and location of important buildings, first aid, police records systems and clerical procedures. Must have any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and ability to successfully complete SCCJA basic communications and NCIC training.  Must be 21 years old to comply with State of South Carolina Law Enforcement entrance requirements and possess a valid driver’s license. REQUIRED:  Completed Standard Application, Supplemental Application along with required documents as outlined in the document section, Authorization to Release Information, Statement of Honesty and Personal History Questionnaire.  Resumes accepted only with completed application package.  Starting Salary: $34,042/year, plus benefits.  Application deadline:  October 19, 2015. 


GROUNDSKEEPER – Recreation Services Department/Recreation Division.  Ball Fields. Temporary/Part-Time.  Duties may include Ball field preparation, maintain landscapes; pulls weeds, prunes, weed eats; plant shrubs and flowers; picking up litter and other related duties as required. Must have the ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, ability to work weekends, be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.  Rate: $10.10/hour. No Benefits.  Position open until filled.


RECREATION ASSISTANT – Recreation Services Dept. /Crabtree Gym. Temporary/Part-Time. Duties include but are not limited to teaching Zumba, teaching group cycling, teaching aerobic and fitness classes, working a busy front desk, monitoring the gym, and assisting w/weight training. Prefer CPR Certified. Requires knowledge of computers & a variety of public recreational activities; high school or equivalent; be at least 18 years old, valid driver’s license & be able to work mornings or nights & weekends. Rate: $10.10/Hour. No Benefits.  Position open until filled.
