Requires thorough knowledge of the principles and techniques of modern Tennis, operation of Tennis facilities, equipment and materials used in a tennis program. Responsible for teaching lessons, clinics and conducting tournaments, facility promotion and membership sales. Responsible for the purchase, display and sale of tennis merchandise. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from High School and must be USPTA Certified Pro along with teaching experience. Must have a valid driver’s license. Salary Range: $28,003 – $43,685/year plus benefits, Commission from tennis lessons and tournament revenues negotiable. Application deadline: 5:00 p.m., February 6, 2012. EQUIPMENT OPERATOR, SR – Public Works Department/Solid Waste Division. Temporary/Full Time. Operates medium to heavy equipment in providing solid waste collection with heavy duty trash type equipment and performs routine servicing and maintenance of equipment with related work as required. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of high school and some experience in performance of heavy manual work and in the operation of automotive equipment. Must possess a commercial driver’s license valid in the State of South Carolina. Rate: $14.15/hour. No Benefits. Application deadline: 5:00 p.m., February 6, 2012. RECREATION ASSISTANT – C&L/Recreation Division/Crabtree Gym. Temp/Part-Time position. Duties include but are not limited to working a busy front desk, monitoring the gym, assisting w/weight training, and teaching Zumba, aerobic and fitness classes. Prefer CPR Certified. Req. knowledge of computers & a variety of public recreational activities; HS or equiv; valid DL & be able to work mornings or nights & weekends. Rate: $9.61/hour. No Benefits. Application deadline: 5:00 p.m., February 6, 2012. SWIM INSTRUCTOR – Cultural and Leisure Services Department/Aquatics Division. Temporary/Part-Time position. Looking for a high energy, safety conscious person with knowledge of competitive swimming. Duties include, but are not limited to; Swim Coach - instructing and supervising practices, creating daily workouts, and making/answering phone calls. Responsible for teaching swimming skills to all ages. Requires water safety instructor certification; be at least 17 years old, valid driver’s license and must be available to work a variety of hours including weekends. Rate: $10.61/hour. No benefits. Position open until filled.
