The City of Myrtle
Beach has a Basic
Disaster Plan (PDF) that sets
forth the requirements and responsibilities for responding to natural or
manmade disasters.
Appendices to
the city's Basic Disaster Plan also are available in PDF format.
Hurricane evacuation routes are available, and emergency preparedness tips relating specifically to hurricanes are found on our Hurricane Preparedness page. Additional information may be found on our Weather page. Each city department has its own detailed disaster preparedness response plan which, due to the sheer number of pages, cannot be presented here. Note: Acrobat Reader, available free, is needed for PDF files.
