Corner Icon  The Community Appearance Board is Myrtle Beach's board of architectural review.  It consists of nine members appointed to four year terms by City Council.  At least five members must be residents of the city.  The Construction Services Department provides staff assistance to the CAB.


Blue Box  This committee is composed of staff members who review plans submitted for the next Community Appearance Board meeting.  They check to see whether the plans are complete and meet all technical requirements.

2.   LaQuinta Hotel – 1561 21st Avenue North:  Requests a conceptual / final review to replace the wood fence on east and south property lines with ornamental aluminum and black-coated chain-link fence. (Goode Fence)

 

3.   Belle Harbor Entry – Goldfinch Road & Coventry Boulevard:  Requests a conceptual / final review for (2) brick masonry entry features with signage, landscape plan, and lighting. (Thomas & Hutton)

 

4.   Villages at 74th Avenue North:  Requests a conceptual / final review for façade revisions to previously approved plans for (2) 4-unit condo buildings. (Miller Design Services) (Previously approved 11/5/2015)

 

5.   Robles Residence – 3902 North Ocean Boulevard:  Requests a conceptual / final review for façade alterations to existing house to include a new garage, second story deck, landscape plan, and perimeter fencing comprised of aluminum pickets with brick columns. (Miller Design Services) 

 

6.   Schappell Residence – 6006 North Ocean Boulevard:  Requests a conceptual / final review for façade alterations to home and pool house, adding pool metal gate to existing columns, and replace (2) post deck lights. (CRG Companies)

 

7.   Sandcastle – 5521 North Ocean Boulevard:  Requests a conceptual / final review for the repainting of the building. (Owner)

 

8.   Grand Strand Regional Medical Center – 809 82nd Parkway: Requests a final review for a 93,275 square foot medical office building, parking lot, landscape plan, and dumpster enclosure. (Baker Barrios) (Previously heard on 5/4/2017)

 

9.   Beach Club – 1410 North Ocean Boulevard:  Requests a conceptual / final review for a 3-story 52,425 square foot oceanfront mixed use building and landscape plan. (LS3P)  (Footprint approved on 4/20/2017)

 

10. Clean of Heart – 1005 Osceola Street:  Requests a conceptual / final review for a 1,068 square foot shower and laundry facility building and landscape plan. (Taylor Architecture/Garrett P. Jackson Enterprises LLC)
